LEDucation trade fair was started in 2017 and since that time has become the largest LED-only tradeshow and educational source in the United States. Organized by the Designers Lighting Forum of New York (DLFNY), LEDucation is the extreme marketplace for solid-state lighting innovations, giving industry professionals a chance to experience new technologies as well as continue their education through a wide range of AIA/CEU accredited seminars. LEDucation is the premier destination for all things LED. The show continues to stimulate and develop creative ideas and solutions to positively impact the LED industry and lighting education.
With the mission of exploring and presenting the power of lighting in design, LEDucation 2019 had over 6,000 attendees from all regions of the US and Canada attended the two-day event. 300+ product-specific manufacturers showcased their latest innovations and technologies on the trade show. The event hosted a variety of basic, intermediate and advanced accredited presentations, designed to meet the needs of specific industry areas including design trends, protocols and code compliance, smart lighting, exterior lighting, healthcare and more.
Due to pandemic the LEDucation August Conference will be hosted virtually August 17–18, 2021. Lighting industry luminaries and fresh up-and-comers will present 12 non-concurrent educational sessions — AIA CES approved and free of charge. Topics range from highly technical and research-based techniques for effective lighting systems design and specification, to broad-stroke design trends such as circadian support and digital placemaking.
